AUT Millennium is a charitable, not-for-profit organisation established to help New Zealanders live longer, healthier lives and to enjoy and excel in sport. The facility features the world-class National Aquatic Centre, Gym, Accommodation, Conference, Swim School, Schools and Holiday Programmes, Athlete Development as well as Sports and Health Clinics.
Founded in 2002 with the support of local businesses and visionaries Sir Graeme Avery and Sir Stephen Tindall, the organisation was established to address national and regional needs for community health, wellbeing and sport.
Now home to a diverse range of organisations including High Performance Sport New Zealand, four sports clubs, national sporting organisations and medical services, AUT Millennium offers a unique space for the elite to train and learn alongside the community.
AUT Millennium’s award-winning swim school run regular swimming classes, with over 100,000+ lessons conducted annually. Swimming lessons cater to all ages and are conducted in their world-class facilities, including two Olympic-sized swimming pools and two learn-to-swim pools. Their North Shore gym offers a variety of fun and motivating classes, along with personal trainer services.
